"The NASCAR of Bike Races"
Join United Way various bike clubs for all the fun and excitement of Nascar ... but on bicycles! Imagine bikes speeding around a half mile course in beautiful downtown Mocksville at 35 mph. Cycling teams from all over the nation come to North Carolina for this series of races every year!
Each day of the week a different city hosts a day of racing called a criterium. The 2009 event schedule will include:
Music, games, kids corner, food...even trike races!
It's fun for the whole family. 
With approximately 240 cyclists registered, the Historic Mocksville Criterium enjoyed the largest cyclist attendance of any of the events throughout the 2008 series. In Mocksville, cyclists participated in four races, ranging from beginner to professional, competing to win cash prizes ranging from $300 to $1,800. Various countries outside of the United States were represented in the races including,Argentina, Australia, Canada and Columbia. Cyclist, Alejandro Borrajo, racing for the Colavita-Sutterhome Cycling Team, from Argentina, won the Professional Race which encompassed 60 laps and took 60 minutes to complete.

- 6:15 p.m. Race 1 – Amateurs - Category 4/5 race (30 minutes)
- 6:45 p.m. Kids Races
- 6:55 p.m. Open Teen Trike Races
- 7:00 p.m. Race 2 - Masters Race (40 minutes)
- 7:40 p.m. Adult Trike Races
- 7:45 p.m. Adult Trike Races
- 7:50 p.m. Race 3 – Intermediate - Category 2/3 race (45 minutes)
- 8:35 p.m. Adult Trike Race
- 8:40 p.m. Adult Trike Race
- 8:45 p.m. Professional Race (60 minutes)
- 9:45 p.m. Racing Ends
