Provides emergency services to disaster victims, military personnel and families. Teaches CPR, first aid, water safety, and HIV/ADS education. Provides volunteer opportunities for adults and youth.

The Arc of Davie County

Provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities including financial assistance to special education classrooms in Davie County and a week-long summer camp for school age children and adults with developmental disabilities.
 
Children from primarily single-parent families receive mentoring through a relationship with a Big Brother, Big Sister, Big Couple Big Buddy or Lunch Buddy volunteer.
 
Bowman Gray Child Guidance

Provides outpatient mental health evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents.
Instills values in young people through the service of others and prepares them to make ethical lifetime choices. Scouting is for boys in the 1st - 12th grade.
 
Cancer Services, Inc.

Helps patients with prescription cancer medications, equipment loans, wigs, ostomy supplies, nutritional supplies and mastectomy prostheses. Provides emotional support via wellness groups and peer visitation. Community education provided for cancer prevention and survivor topics. Office hours are Tuesdays in Mocksville. Consumer Credit Counseling Service

Provides confidential and affordable budget counseling, debt counseling, and HUD approved housing counseling. Seniors may obtain additional services such as insurance filing and checkbook balancing. Mocksville office hours are three Thursdays each the month at 773 Sanford Avenue.  To make an appointment, call Jane at 336-896-1191.

4-H offers young people, ages 6-19, hands-on, learning by doing experiences. Educational opportunities are available through community & subject clubs, school enrichment, after school enhancement and summer programs & camps.
 
Davie County Group Home

Provides residential services to adults with developmental disabilities and opportunities to acquire social skills, independent living and self-reliance skills. The supported living program offers independent apartment living with services geared toward each individual. Services include: money management, socialization training, community living skills, transportation and more. United Way funding provides food for the Group Home residents.
 
Davie Domestic Violence Services & Rape Crisis Center

Offers early and appropriate crisis intervention and support services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include Crisis Counseling, Educational Programs, Volunteer Services, Community Awareness, Emergency Shelter Assistance, Internships and assistance with filing Protective Orders. Support Group: Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

A full-service facility for the entire family. Activities include: day camp, childcare at all Davie County Elementary Schools, swim lessons, aerobics, adult fitness, sports leagues and more. United Way donor support directed to before/after school child care, 2nd grade water safety instruction and Davie County Reads Adult Literacy Initiative.

Health care provided in the home by medical professionals such as nurses, therapists, nursing aides, and social workers.  Home care workers help the patient and family effectively manage care at home, coordinate services under a physician’s direction, and ensure rehabilitation in a more cost-effective manner than hospitalization or long term residential care.
